Presentation
The Council of Europe Development Bank’s core mission is to promote social cohesion in Europe. Although the CEB has its origins in the political upheavals that Europe experienced following the Second World War, leading to a flood of refugees and displaced persons into Western Europe, it is now facing the consequences raised by the war in Ukraine. The new geopolitical situation in Europe leads the CEB to tackle the assistance and integration of refugees as well as the reconstruction and rehabilitation needs of Ukraine’s social sectors.
