All you ever wanted to know about the Oscars (but were afraid to ask) – Mustang by Deniz Gamze Ergüven

Event organised as part of the Cultural policy and management Masterclasses of the Sciences Po School of Public Affairs.
Following the nomination of Mustang as the French contender in the 2016 Oscar race, this practical study will aim at describing the ascent of the film from Cannes, to Toronto, all the way to Los Angeles for the big night. What is the role of the producer, the sales agent, the US distributor ? How does one build a strategy ? What are the marketing tools ? An insight of the Oscar process, stakes and issues.
Screening of Mustang followed by a round-table with:
