April 30 - YANNICK HAENEL'S LITTLE LIBRARY

On 30 April 2024, come and meet Yannick Haenel, the eleventh holder of the Sciences Po Writer-in-Residence Chair at the Centre d'Écriture et de Rhétorique.

The Sciences Po Library and the Maison des Arts et de la Création are pleased to offer you a unique and intimate conversation in French on the books that have shaped Yannick Haenel's personality and influenced his writing and his work.

He is the author of numerous novels and essays: Cercle (2007), Jan Karski (2009, Prix Interallié), Tiens ferme ta couronne (2017), Prix Médicis, Le Trésorier-payeur (2022), and Bleu Bacon (2024). His work, fuelled by a desire to ‘passionately decipher the world’, weaves together history, writing and painting, giving body and voice to a singular vision that never ceases to marvel at the enigma of language. Yannick Haenel is also co-founder of the literary review Ligne de risque, a journalist for Transfuge and Charlie Hebdo, and a former literature teacher.
