A library card is required to access library materials

A library card is required to access library materials.
Borrowing privileges vary according to the kind of library card held by the reader as well as to the type and storage location of materials.

Electronic resources

Electronic resources are available for all readers on the Sciences Po campus.
Remote access is reserved to members of the Sciences Po community (faculty, researchers, students, staff).

Open access

Open access materials are available in the reading rooms.
To borrow these materials, proceed to the circulation desk or use the self-service issue machines (ground floor at 27 and 30 rue Saint-Guillaume, 4th floor at 27 rue Saint-Guillaume).
Attention: some open access materials are non circulating.

Closed stack

The closed stacks and annex storage facility are not accessible to readers.
Materials must be located and requested using the catalogue. The loan is only registered when the materials are checked out.
Materials may be borrowed and returned at the circulation desk (ground floor at 30, rue Saint-Guillaume).
Delivery times and circulation desk hold periods vary according to the storage location.

Some closed stack materials may only be consulted onsite (legal deposit, reserve...). After submitting your online request, you may retrieve these items and consult them in the onsite reading area (30, rue Saint-Guillaume, lower level).

Available only to members of the Sciences Po community.

Video on demand (VOD)

Over  3.000 movies and documentaries are now available through the library’s Médiathèque Numérique Sciences Po Bibliothèque. This includes weekly updates. Note: only 1 viewing per week
These are available for remote access. Register on the Médiathèque Numérique website. Access is reserved to Sciences Po students (except those in Executive Education) and teachers.

CDs and DVDs

Around 800 CD and DVD titles are available on direct access (30 rue Saint-Guillaume, lower-level reading room).
These materials must be checked out only at the circulation desk (ground floor at 30 rue Saint-Guillaume) prior to being viewed or listened to, including in the library (with headphones). The storage cases are unlocked at checkout.
There are no regional campus loans.
DVDs and CDs may not be renewed.
