This conference examines the student-led Gen Z mobilization in India and its broader socio-political implications. Bringing together scholars of education, digital politics and youth mobilization, it explores how student protests, digital dissent and tensions surrounding India’s competitive education system are reshaping political engagement and challenging established forms of authority. The programme includes a screening of Lalit Vachani’s film Prisoner No. 626710 is Present, followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker.
