About this event
08 March 2023 from 19:15 until 21:15
Jean Moulin Amphitheatre
13 rue de l'Université, 75007, ParisFrom The Valley To School: Towards a New Symbiosis Between Creating, Cultivating and Learning.
In-person Masterclass held in English and organized as part of the “Masterclasses Culture” of the School of Public Affairs.
In the context of the large monographic exhibition The Valley presented at the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain, the School of Public Affairs is very pleased and honored to organize a discussion with:
- Fabrice Hyber, Artist
- Jeanne Barral, Curator
How can art create a symbiosis between painting, environment and society? How can the dialogue with scientists and experts, such as the inspiration from the growth of nature, open potentialities and hypotheses about knowledge, reality and human behaviors? How can the cultivating of a forest lead to a new place of learning and a new artistic experimentation facing main challenges addressed to human beings? How can an exhibition’s scenography transform a cultural institution into a school, according to a layout and a cultural outreach that follow the artist’s thoughts and educational goals? Is it possible to speak of political efficiency of artworks and what are the roles of museums in terms of responsibility and sustainability?
A discussion prepared and moderated by the students of the Culture / Cultural Policy & Management stream of the School of Public Affairs.
