The Honorable Robert Wexler is president of the S. Daniel Abraham Center for Middle East Peace in Washington, DC. Before retiring from Congress in 2010 to lead the Center, he represented Florida’s 19th district for seven terms as a Democrat in the United States House of Representatives. He chaired the Subcommittee on Europe of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and served on the Middle East Subcommittee and the House Judiciary Committee. During the 2008 presidential campaign, he advised then‐Senator Barack Obama on issues related to Israel and the Middle East. Wexler was a member of President Obama’s National Security Advisory Committee for the 2012 re‐election campaign and the Platform Drafting Committee for the 2012 Democratic National Convention. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the German Marshall Fund, the National Advisory Council of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee and the Board of Directors of the Mid‐Atlantic Innocence Project.
