Cross-disciplinary themes

Several cross-cutting themes permeate the work carried out at CEE and are instilled in each of the research axes:

• Europe and the European Union
• Environmental transformations
• And, to a lesser extent, digital transformations. The CEE has actively engaged in this field, with a dedicated position within its permanent team (Caterina Froio focusing on the digital practices of political groups), a Cities and Digital technology Chair created in collaboration with Sciences Po Urban School (Patrick Le Galès, Antoine Courmont, with some contributions by Jean-Baptiste Chambon), and the H2020 COESO project (Dominique Boullier, Jessica Pidoux).

The methodologies employed at CEE are diverse, with many researchers using mixed methods. The comparative method is a distinctive feature of the centre's identity.
