Students Services

At Sciences Po, the academic success of students is at the heart of the concerns of all services dedicated to students.

Throughout your time at Sciences Po, 3 services are at your disposal:

  • Student Services a must-visit point for all undergraduate students at Sciences Po: for administrative enrolment or reenrolment, delivery of student cards, help with social security and recovery of tuition fees.
  • The social aid service helps students throughout the three years, with housing, disability needs, scholarships and financial assistance. It also provides advice and reorientation towards other relevant services.
  • Sciences Po Carrières deals with internships, professional orientation and first employment. This service is the interface between Sciences Po students and the world of work.
  • Ph.D. students at Sciences Po can access the services and support of the Doctoral School and the research centres to which they are attached.

The Doctoral School

The Doctoral School offers students various funding possibilities for their thesis: doctoral contracts, scholarships, etc. It also offers partial funding for certain expenses (such as transport, accommodation and registration) linked to participating in conferences, fieldwork, research travel, etc.

A call for candidacies for financial assistance is sent around during the first trimester of the year. The decision to attribute funding is made by the Executive Committee of the Doctoral School.

The research centres

Ph.D. students are fully integrated into the research centres in Sociology at Sciences Po with the status of “young researchers.”

To find out more about completing a Ph.D. at one of our research centres, visit the websites of the different research centres.
