Policy Briefs
Policy briefs are a compulsory component of the MAGS program, designed to foster students' policy agility and an in-depth expertise on a pressing global issue.
The MAGS Policy briefs are year-long policy program dedicated exclusively to the one-year “Master in Advanced Global Studies” (MAGS) students of PSIA.
With this program, MAGS students have the rare opportunity to engage in a supervised group policy work whereby they research and formulate state of the art policy recommendations on a chosen global policy issue.
► MAGS Policy briefs are designed to be a team effort (from 3 to 5 students in general), so that students develop high collaborative skills and learn how to manage group dynamics in the work place.
► MAGS Policy briefs are supervised by distinguished actors or academic professors recognized for their expertise in the field. Supervisors initiate the topics of the brief, they provide guidance all year round and open doors to a vast network.
► With the Policy briefs program, MAGS students delve into the 360° process of public decision making as they navigate through the field, as they work on policy recommendations and on convincing global leaders to implement change, which also includes developing high level communication skills.
