How to Apply to the Winter School
Admissions for the 2027 Winter School are now open!
Two information webinars are scheduled for the fall, where you can meet the team and learn more about the Winter School. Register below for the session that best suits your time zone!
Register for September 10th at 11am (CET)
Register for September 16th at 4pm (CET)
A three round admissions procedure
Admissions are open on a rolling basis from the start of the admissions period to October 14th.
- if you apply before August 31, 2026, you will have the admission results mid-September 2026;
- if you apply before September 30, 2026, you will have the admission results mid-October 2026;
- if you apply before October 14, 2026, you will have the results in early November 2026.
Following an offer of admission, students will have one week to confirm their participation in the programme and complete the tuition fee payment in order to secure their place.
Important information
Applicants who wish to reserve accommodation through Sciences Po and/or require a visa are strongly encouraged to submit their application by the following deadline:
- Recommended application deadline for visa procedures: 30 September 2026
- Deadline for applying for accommodation through Sciences Po: 30 September 2026
Information required to complete an application
Candidates will need to provide the following information and documents as part of their application:
- Personal information (name, address, etc.)
- Passport or identity card
- Identity photo (for a potential student card)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Academic background information:
- Certificate of enrolment or proof of current student status
- Academic transcript (required for current students, recommended for graduates)
- For the Governing Global Challenges track, a background in international affairs will be asked as a prerequisite and must show on your transcript
- Copy of previous diploma(s) obtained (if applicable)
- Language level verification for candidates who are not native English speakers (learn how)
- Explanation of motivation: This is an opportunity for you to explain your goals for your course of study at the Winter School. The text space is limited to 500 words or less. We strongly encourage candidates to prepare their response in advance to give due thought to this critical component of your application, and so as to streamline your application process. Motivation letters should be written in English.
Application processing fee
A non-refundable 50 € application fee must be paid upon submission of your application. Payment is only by credit card on the application platform.
