Student Testimonials
There is no typical profile for students enrolled on one of our University Programmes. Reflecting the multiculturalism of the entire Sciences Po community, participants join the Summer School from all over the world and have many different backgrounds. Some participants are completing their studies, while others are professionals from a diverse range of fields.
« I have found the academic experience incredibly enlightening, and I think that’s because you get to speak to so many different students from different backgrounds. The professor is fantastic as well, in allowing us to get our points across and engage and even debate when necessary. I came here looking for a lot of answers, and I’ve learnt sometimes there is not an answer and that’s OK! It’s about how to critically think through how you get to at least your own personal take on something. I’ve really appreciated that. »
Savannah Hanson
Sheffield University, United Kingdom
« My classmates are amazing. We’ve got students from all over the world, almost every continent and so you have a lot of representation, a lot of different perspectives and viewpoints that people bring into discussions. That has probably been the best part of my experience; meeting new people and broadening my mind. »
Amélie Roediger
University of Sydney, Australia
« The Summer School has connected me to professionals, experts, and students who have enriched class conversations with their diverse personal and educational backgrounds. »
Lily Kwak
Columbia University, United-States
« My professor is really engaging and interesting in explaining all the theories. She is enthusiastic and well-informed, and she asks questions all the time. We have discussions in which people tell their own stories and give their perspectives. That gives a community feeling »
Tom Ornek
Utrecht University, Netherland
« My professors were real experts in their field of study. They were approachable and made the class very lively. We knew we could always reach out to them to ask questions before, during or even after the class. »
Wisdom Kalu
Ashesi University, Ghana
« I realized that there are certain things that we don’t question because they are innately embedded in society. Thanks to this course, I think about not taking those things as a given and rather question it. I could really see how the age range and the various levels of experience and backgrounds added to the discussions and debates. »
