Virtual Undergraduate Open House days - 29th November 2025

Discover Sciences Po, our Bachelor's degree in the Humanities & Social Sciences and Admissions procedures! Meet the Campus Directors, the academic advisors and students form our 7 campuses.
Sciences Po is one of the world’s leading universities in the humanities and social sciences. Its Bachelor’s degree is built on three pillars: interdisciplinarity, international outlook, and civic engagement.
A multidisciplinary programme in the humanities and social sciences
Sciences Po's Undergraduate programme centres on five main disciplines: law, economics, history, political science, and sociology. These courses are complemented by scientific disciplines, foreign language learning, and artistic workshops.
The objective is to give students all the tools they need to understand the contemporary world.
- The first year is devoted to the core disciplinary courses.
- In the second year, students choose two majors, each from the two blocks below:
- Block 1: Economics, Political Science – Comparative Politics, Political Science – Political Theory
- Block 2: Law, History, Sociology
- In third year all students go abroad. They pursue in greater depth the majors they have chosen through one of our 480 university partnerships.
Geographical minors to understand global challenges
The Undergraduate College has seven campuses across France. where students follow a common core of foundational courses in the humanities and social sciences. In addition, each regional campus offers a geographical minor.
These minors provide interdisciplinary content. Through them, students explore major contemporary political, economic, and social issues from a regional perspective.
They form part of a broader reflection on the dynamics of globalisation, studied through a compulsory course on European societies and institutions in the first year, and a course on international relations in the second year.
- Minor European Union, Central and Eastern Europe (Dijon Campus)
- Minor Asia-Pacific (Le Havre Campus)
- Minor Mediterranean and Middle East (Menton Campus)
- Minor European Union, Franco-German partnership (Nancy Campus)
- Minor Latin America and the Caribbean (Poitiers Campus)
- Minor North America (Reims Campus)
- Minor Africa (Reims Campus)
The Paris Campus offers a global programme without focusing on a specific geographical area.
The Civic Learning Programme: from knowledge to action
During their first two years, students follow the Civic Learning Programme, which leads them to establish links between the citizenship issues addressed in their courses and their personal commitment. This programme consists of two field experiences with disadvantaged groups, in the public, private, and non-profit sectors, in France and abroad. The final Capstone Project at the end of the second year provides an opportunity to reflect on these experiences.
