Tuition and fees for the University Programme

University Programme tuition fees include classes and any course materials. Additionally, optional fees apply for students who wish to obtain accommodation through the Summer School and for students who wish to take an elective class.

2023 University Programme tuition fees

Summer School

• One session: 2500 €
• Two sessions: 4400 €
• Early-bird two sessions: 4200 €

Admitted students who complete their registration for two sessions by March 16th, 2023 are eligible for an early bird discount of 200 €.

The following are not included in tuition fees and must be arranged directly by each student: transportation to and from Paris, school supplies (excluding books), food, and housing. Some optional on-campus activities also involve an extra fee.

2023 optional academic fees

Elective courses

• Elective course: 500 €

Students have the possibility to take one optional elective course per session, in addition to their core social science or French language course. See a full list of elective classes.

Professional and Academic Workshops

• Professional and Academic Workshop: 200 €

Students in the social sciences track have the possibility to take one optional workshop per session. 

Optional accomodation fees

In 2023, the following options are available for accommodations. Upon admission, students will be able to sign up for the CIUP through the Summer School's online platform or book their room directly with the Atome My French Homestay. 

Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris (CIUP) - Private rooms in student residence halls. Housing fees are the following:

• June session: 1060 € (26 nights)
• July session : 1100 € (27 nights)
• Two sessions: 2240 € (55 nights)

Atome My French Homestay - Private room in a homestay. Housing fees are the following:

• June session: 978 €
• July session: 1008 €

Application fee

Applicants must pay a 50 € application fee at the time of their application. The fee is payable online by credit card at the end of the application process. The application fee is non-refundable.

Scholarships

The Summer School is not able to offer any scholarships. We encourage prospective students to check with their home universities and local embassies to see if they may secure additional funding.

Refund, cancellation and modification policy

The 2023 University Programme Refund, Cancellation and Modification Policy (PDF, 205 KB) specifies the time table and conditions for which Summer School programme fees can be refunded, as well as policies regarding course cancellation and modification of class registration. Please note the specific refund and cancellation provisions pertaining to Covid-19 in 2023.
