Can sustainable development deliver a fairer and greener future?

With ecological breakdown and global inequality on the rise, it is clear that we cannot go on with business-as-usual. Sustainable development has been quasi-universally adopted as the golden solution, but can it really ensure environmental protection and social justice? What are the strengths and pitfalls of green economic growth?

Join us for an open and critical discussion about sustainable development to find out more!

We are delighted to hear from:

  • Eloi Laurent – Senior economist at OFCE, specialized in the social-ecological approach and the well-being economy. He is a professor at Ponts Paris Tech, Stanford University, and Sciences Po, where he teaches Designing Well-Being Policy.
  • Marine de Bazelaire – Strategic sustainability advisor with over 25 years of experience in finance and sustainability transformation. She previously served as Global Head of Natural Capital at HSBC, and currently leads Regain Nature, her environmental performance consultancy. She also teaches Finance and Nature at Sciences Po.
