On the eve of crucial general elections, Brazil stands at a historical crossroads, and The Brazilian Report will be there to cover it, for the third time.
The outcome of Brazil’s 2026 vote goes beyond national politics, helping shape democracy in the region and around the world.
Founded by a Brazilian educated in France and a Frenchwoman who studied in China, The Brazilian Report embodies this unique intersection between local understanding and international perspective. One carries the voice of the Brazilian people; the other markets it to the world. Together, they have built an independent media outlet that sheds light on Brazil’s political, economic and social dynamics for a global audience.
At a time when trade tensions intensify and democracies falter, this conference will ask:
- Can we still speak of a truly free and global press?
- What is Brazil’s role in the reconfiguration of the Global South?
- And above all, what does the country’s trajectory reveal about the future of international journalism?
Brazil is no longer on the periphery: it is becoming a central player, in agriculture, energy and technology. And perhaps, through The Brazilian Report’s perspective, Europe will finally learn to see Brazil not as a distant market, but as a strategic ally essential to its future.
