Palestine Day / Journée de la Palestine

Students for Justice in Palestine at Sciences Po, in collaboration with Le Bureau des Arts (BDA), invites you to Palestine Day on Wednesday, April 30th from 1 PM to 5 PM at Cloître Saint Thomas. This event is a celebration of Palestinian identity, culture, and political resistance in the face of ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing.

The afternoon will feature a dabkeh workshop, where you can learn the traditional Palestinian dance; a teach-in on tatreez, the art of Palestinian embroidery, with Gaza-based artist Maha Al-Daya; and a live musical performance by Palestinian singer Abo Gabi.

Students and faculty members are also encouraged to explore photo exhibitions and informative stands run by SJP and the Association France Palestine Solidarité, offering resources on the situation in Gaza and ways to mobilize. Authentic Palestinian food will be available throughout the event, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Médecins Sans Frontières to support their humanitarian efforts in Gaza.
