Working in International Affairs: where do PSIA graduates go?
Each year, Sciences Po surveys graduates 18 months after completing their programs to understand their transition into the workforce. The findings highlight the strong employability and global reach of PSIA alumni.
Despite challenges in the international affairs sector, our graduates consistently secure positions aligned with their ambitions. Over the past three years:
81% of PSIA respondents were employed within six months of completing their studies. Notably, 39% secured a role before graduation, reflecting the strong demand for their skills.
PSIA alumni thrive across diverse sectors and a wide spectrum of organizations:
37% began their careers in the private sector like Maximilian at PwC, Mathieu with Econos or Camila with Axa ;
42% joined international or non-governmental organisations like Valeria with Ethifinance, Charlotte with the IMF or Shadé with UNDP ;
21% chose governmental institutions, reinforcing the link between their training and public service like Mouna, Fabio or Bilen.
More than half (54%) of graduates took their first position outside of France, highlighting the international mobility and global relevance of their expertise.
These outcomes reflect the adaptability, ambition, and international orientation of graduates, who are making an impact across sectors and borders.
