As part of its partnership with Sciences Po-PSIA, the Paris Peace Forum is offering Sciences Po students the opportunity to get an exclusive invitation to the second edition of the Paris Peace Forum!

A limited number of students will get the chance to join the live studio audience of the highly anticipated Doha Debates, set to take place on Tuesday 12 November (17:45 – 19:45). In a session titled “Loss of Trust: Can We Thrive Without Trust In Governments?”, three experts will tackle the topic of trust with live digital voting and audience participation.

The Doha Debates, a production of Qatar Foundation, is a multimedia initiative that seeks collaborative solutions to global challenges through debates and individual action.

Here is a short description of the session:

Public trust in governments is near historic lows, as confidence plummets and belief in institutions’ basic fairness and functions erodes each day, according to global studies. How can we restore trust? Or should we not? Should we move trust to new social initiatives and technologies instead of the old formal bodies of government?

Submit your expression of interest via Google Form by Sunday 3 November 2019 at 23:59 (Paris time) for a chance to join and actively participate in the discussion on one of today’s main global challenges.

Make sure to submit your expression of interest as soon as possible – spots are limited, and available on a first-come, first-served basis!

Registered students will receive an email from the Paris Peace Forum with a personal access code to confirm their attendance (for security purposes) by Tuesday 5 November 2019. Don’t forget to confirm your attendance, as this step will grant you access to the event venue.

On the day of the event (Tuesday 12 November), students will be invited to meet at the rendez-vous point (to be communicated via email) at 17:45

The Paris Peace Forum will be held at La Grande Halle de La Villette on 11, 12 and 13 November 2019.
