Activities of the Chair in Sovereign Debt
The Chair in Sovereign Debt aims to become the leading center for research, teaching, and debate on the issue in France and Europe.
As part of the Chair, a new teaching module is being introduced based on case studies drawn from real debt restructuring experiences. The first case study will focus on Greece.
One seminar will be offered per semester from January 2020. More information to come about registration.
The Chair’s events programme will focus on a major annual conference, which will promote the Chair’s work and bring together students, researchers, experts, and political leaders.
The first conference—which will serve as the Chair’s inaugural event—will address the Greek case with Aléxis Tsípras on 27 November 2019.
The second conference, initially planned in the Spring 2020, has been postponed due to the pandemic of Covid-19. Writing on the global health crisis and its economic consequences, a member of the scientific committee of the Chair and a lawyer, Lee C. Buchheit, shares his opinion. Read the article (FR.)
