Karim Amengay defended his thesis (Sciences Po-University of Ottawa) on December 10, 2019.
He was recipient of the prestigious Joseph-Armand-Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship.
His thesis examined the impact of media content—mainly that related to immigration and crime— on thevote for the French right-wing populist party the National Front. More broadly, his research interests include elections, political parties, electoral behavior and political psychology, with a focus on populism in the European context.
