A portal designed with and for teachers
Sciences Po is developing a new digital portal entirely dedicated to teachers, to simplify their academic and administrative tasks.
Modern, intuitive and accessible, this tool will enable them to enter their syllabuses, complete their administrative files, fill in their timetables and access all the information they need, including news, contacts and services related to their work. Additional features are already being considered, such as access to the teacher directory and the option to propose new courses.
This ambitious project brings together many of the institution's departments: the Training and Research Department, Executive Education, the Skills and Innovation Institute, the Human Resources Department, the Communications Department, the Scientific Resources and Information Department, and the Information Systems Department, all working towards a common goal: to improve the user experience.
The method? Collaborative work and a co-design approach: co-creation workshops, active contribution from teachers and staff, and support from expert designers.
This user-centred approach enables the design of a platform that is truly tailored to the needs of the field.
Scheduled for launch in 2026, the portal will combine simplicity, efficiency and time savings for the entire teaching community, as well as for all our colleagues who work with teachers.
Some figures:
- More than 4,500 teachers involved (4,300 temporary teaching staff and around 322 permanent teacher-researchers).
- More than 70 participants
- 19 workshops already completed
- Over 60 hours of collaborative work
- Four prototypes produced and 43 models designed
