Being unsure of my long-term direction was the biggest motivation to have strong results and keep more doors open. More concretely, what helped is to work consistently and to start assignments well in advance. Finishing something early and letting it sit for a few days before revisiting it is a great way to catch mistakes and improve it. Finally, just as important are the small moments that kept my motivation up, like spending way too much time chatting in Saint Thomas garden.

What I'll remember most is our macroeconomics professor telling us not to take any theory or authority at face value, no matter how widely accepted it was, and not to simply go along with the consensus view in a room, but to question it. The classes built around debate, because they allowed me to learn about others' arguments,  were the most valuable part of the program for me.

I would recommend mixing quantitative and qualitative courses, so you come out with a broad skill set and real confidence going into the job market.

I would lastly encourage you not to compare yourself to others too much. Sciences Po can be a fairly stressful environment, and it often feels as though everyone is doing better than you. It's completely fine not to have the most prestigious internships on your CV, not to feel at ease with networking, or not to understand a class right away. Sciences Po is ultimately a very small pond, and there is no "right path".
