PSIA Graduation Ceremony: Class of 2025!
On Saturday 30 June, we celebrated the graduation of nearly 700 students of the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) at the iconic Grand Rex theatre in Paris. Surrounded by family, loved ones and faculty, graduates of the Class of 2025 completed their academic journey.
Opening the ceremony, PSIA Dean Arancha González told graduates that Sciences Po had "become your home", reflecting their transformative journey marked by intellectual growth, personal development, and meaningful connections. During their time at PSIA, graduates had the opportunity to learn from some of the world’s leading experts and practitioners and to understand that true progress is forged through collaboration and shared purpose. At the core of this experience were the fundamental values of pluralism, excellence, rigour, and respect which define Sciences Po, and which shape every classroom discussion.

A highlight of the ceremony was the keynote speech delivered by Amina Mohamed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations. Her presence paid tribute to the UN’s enduring mission and to the countless individuals who serve it with courage and conviction. In her speech, the DSG reflected on the state of the world and her own professional experiences: "This is just the beginning. Keep learning, stay rooted in your principles, and serve people—not power. Because in today’s world, integrity matters most."

Two graduates spoke on behalf of their colleagues:
- Angélica Rodríguez Peña, Summa Cum Laude in International Security
- Matteo Gabutti, Summa Cum Laude in International Governance and Diplomacy
Their combined speechcaptured the soul of the Class of 2025’s journey. As Angélica reflected, “(My story) is just one version (...) of the thousands of stories sitting in this room. Stories of people who, at one point or another, looked at the world and said: ‘I don’t understand… I want to do something about it.’ That drive, that restlessness, that desire to understand and change is what brought us here. Whether through economics, diplomacy, security, or development, we’ve all shared that same goal. And as we know, the world we live in—and have studied—is anything but simple.”

The entire PSIA team congratulates our graduates and wishes them every success as they embark on the next chapter of their young lives. When closing the ceremony, PSIA Dean Arancha González encouraged the Class of 2025 to: “Let your voices resound, your ideas be unleashed, and your actions become the very embodiment of change!”
The celebration continued with a reception at Sciences Po’s central Paris campus: a symbolic first gathering as graduates and alumni. With diplomas in hand and fresh perspectives, the Class of 2025 now steps confidently into the world, prepared to make a meaningful impact.
