Lara, 2023 Summa Cum Laude in International Public Management (now International Governance and Diplomacy)

Lara Regazzo

What skills/strategy helped you to succeed at PSIA?

Effective time management and organization were crucial for me to balance my academic commitments with work in Amazon's EU Public Policy team. I learned to prioritize tasks, set realistic goals, and create a structured schedule to meet deadlines. What also proved to be immensely valuable was building trust with my classmates and professors and developing effective communication skills.

What part of your PSIA experience do you think will be of greatest help in your career?

The aspect that will be most beneficial to my career is the wide range of classes I took, covering diverse subjects outside my core classes in the field of Global Risks and Project Management. Through these courses, I had the opportunity to delve into a broad spectrum of subjects related to international affairs and develop a more comprehensive and well-rounded perspective on current events. The mentorship and insights offered by professors who are experts in their fields will also guide me in my future.

What advice would you give to current and future PSIA students?

My advice to current and future PSIA students is to challenge yourself and embrace being challenged. It is incredibly important to be curious, welcome diverse perspectives, and have meaningful interactions with your classmates, professors, and professionals in your field of interest. This will allow you to dive deeper into your interests, develop strong analytical skills and gain valuable experiences which will allow you to succeed both academically and professionally.
