Following the State of the Union address given by Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, on September 16, panelists will analyse what they heard (or didn’t hear) and offer their views about the prospects for the European Union.

The event will be chaired by Dean Enrico Letta, who is the former Prime Minister of Italy and the President of Institut Jacques Delors, a European think tank.

Joining Dean Letta, are two guest speakers:

• Nicole Koenig, Deputy Director at Institut Jacques Delors in Berlin, who specializes on political and institutional issues, and
• Carlos Moedas, former European Commissioner, in charge of Research, Science and Innovation, from 2014 to 2019
