Giacomo, International Energy

Giacomo Spinola Minischalchi Erizzo h>as graduated Summa Cum Laude in International Energy. He works as a EU Policy Advisor at Edison SpA (part of EDF Group), in Brussels.

What skills and/or strategy helped you to succeed at PSIA?

I would not say I had a planned out strategy. I had a pretty balanced lifestyle, I worked hard when I had to and I took time off to be with friends when needed. I have always been genuinely passionate and interested in the dynamics of the energy sector and that I would say was my biggest source of motivation.

What part of your PSIA experience do you think will be of greatest help in your career?

PSIA's international environment gave me the opportunity to work with people with different cultural, academic, and professional backgrounds. I found that was the most enriching experience of all and today, as I work in an international environment, I am making treasure of what I learned from interacting within the PSIA community.

What advice would you give to current and future PSIA students?

Find a subject you are passionate about, roll-up your sleeves, find your work-life balance, count on your classmates and do not hesitate to ask for help when you need it. Best of luck!
