Global climate transition by 2050 to net zero greenhouse gas emissions will be successful only when countries in the global North and South undertake economic transformations that effectively drive down emissions and build climate resiliency.

This Independent Climate Task Force, comprising 15 distinguished academics, politicians and leaders from business and civil society, was appointed by the (then) PSIA Dean, Enrico Letta, to think through on the ‘how to’ pragmatics, and to formulate guidance on bold climate actions based on principles of equity and mutual interest.

The Task Force has identified a number of time-bound measures and next steps to be considered by G-20 leaders at the Bali Summit in November 2022.

At this event, students will hear from, and have the chance to interact with, members of the Climate Task Force. The discussion will be chaired by Professor Shiv Someshwar, the Climate Task Force convenor.
