We invite you to the presentation of the main findings of the 2025 Regional Human Development Report for Latin America and the Caribbean, “Under Pressure: Recalibrating the Future of Development in Latin America and the Caribbean”, by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for LAC, with the presence of the Chief Economist, Almudena Fernandez, and Michelle Muschett, Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at UNDP.

The Report introduces a Resilient Human Development framework that places people’s ability, especially that of the most vulnerable, to respond, adapt, and thrive in contexts of high uncertainty at its core. Grounded on three fundamental pillars (instruments to manage risks, coordinated and flexible institutions, and infrastructure that bridges gaps and ensures equitable access to essential services), the Report delivers a clear message: investing in resilience is key to protecting hard-won gains and advancing toward a fairer, more sustainable, and human-centered development path.

The conversation will be introduced by PSIA Faculty Vera Chiodi.
