Join us for an insightful conversation with Ukrainian MP Lisa Yasko and PSIA Faculty Member Anna Colin Lebedev as they delve into the current status of the war in Ukraine and its broader impact on global affairs. As a member of parliament and the founder of an NGO dedicated to Ukraine's recovery, Lisa Yasko will share her views on the question of peace almost three years after the start of the conflict.

Lisa Yasko is a Ukrainian MP (Servant of the People party), political scientist, and member of the Foreign Affairs Committee. She champions Ukraine's territorial integrity, European integration, and human rights while advocating sanctions, military aid, and conflict prevention in PACE. Founder of Yellow Blue Strategy NGO, she promotes cultural diplomacy and creative initiatives. An Oxford MPP graduate and former Ukrainian Society president, she has worked in Ukraine’s government and the UK’s DCMS, blending strategic communications with cultural and political leadership.

Dr Anna Colin Lebedev is a PSIA faculty member and assistant professor in political science at the University of Paris Nanterre. Having completed her PhD at Sciences Po in 2009, her personal research focuses on two main topics: mobilization and protest; armed conflicts, veterans and combatants. Since 2014, she has investigated the role of civilians in the conduct of the war in Ukraine. Her latest book, "Jamais frères?" questions the idea of brotherhood between Russia and Ukraine.
