PSIA is pleased to welcome Professor Jayati Ghosh from the Political Economy Research Institute at the University of Massachusetts Amherst for a discussion on development economics with PSIA and CERI Professor Jérôme Sgard.

In some respects, global inequality has increased—particularly the wealth and income gaps between rich and poor, regardless of location—while certain inter-country disparities appear to have narrowed. However, aggregate figures obscure significant shifts in global power, both across nations and within capital structures. Professor Jayati Ghosh will examine these transformations and their implications for the future.
