Bio :

Nathalia Capellini is currently conducting a literature review on evaluations of ecological transition policies (approaches, methods, indicators, etc.).

Nathalia holds a doctorate in history from the University of Versailles - Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (Centre d'Histoire Culturelle des Sociétés Contemporaines). Her thesis "Historicising dams in the Brazilian Amazon: environment, conflict and politics in the planning and construction of Tucuruí (1960-1985)" won the 2020 thesis prize from the Institute of the Americas and the prize for best European thesis on Brazil from the Association of Brazilians of Europe.

Her research focuses on the environmental and social history of the Brazilian military dictatorship (1964-1985), including its energy policy and social conflicts over natural resources. She is also interested in water management, the history of energy and its uses in Latin America, the international circulation of expert knowledge and practices and the energy transition.
