Pranav Kuttaiah, GLM student, winner of the Palladio scholarship!

Pranav Kuttaiah, a second-year student of the Master Governing the Large Metropolis, is one of the 15 winners of the 2020 Palladio Scholarship. All our congratulations Pranav!

This scholarship, awarded by the Palladio Foundation under the aegis of the Fondation de France, rewards each year students for their training or research projects and the innovative nature of their work. >In addition to a €10,000 scholarship, the 15 laureates will be accompanied for one year by professional sponsors, all members of the Scholarship Committee.

Pranav was recognized for his studies in the second year of the Master in Governing the Large Metropolis: The Master’s Degree links my expertise in India with other comparative urban studies. This is an indispensable step for my interdisciplinary PhD comparing the processes, networks and institutions that shape cities and labour markets in the Global South.”

After graduating with a Bachelor of Journalism from St Xavier’s College in Mumbai, Pranav spent a year in exchange at Sciences Po’s Paris School of International Affairs in 2015. He then attended the Urban Fellows Programme of the Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS). In 2017, he began his professional career as an associate researcher at the Centre of Policy Research in New Delhi. After staying there for two and a half years, Pranav decided to resume his studies and then joined the GLM Master of the Urban School where he will be graduating next June.

In the fall, Pranav will join the University of California, Berkeley, to complete a 5-year PhD and continue his research.
