Human Rights Language: Freedom of Religion and the Sharia

The liberal Western language of Human Rights has dominated the discourse to the exclusion of any and all other épistémologies. The question now is: is there an alternative understanding of human dignity enshrined in a different language? Freedom of religion has been seen by Western thinkers to be void within the system of the Sharia. Is this really the case?

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR EXTERNAL GUESTS:
Due to security measures, access to the seminar is limited to 10 external guests. If you intend to attend the seminar, please send an email to bruno.sousarodrigues@sciencespo.fr indicating your full name (first come, first served).
