Vishal Kamat

Vishal KAMAT is a Visiting Faculty member, on leave from the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) where he is Assistant Professor of Economics. Prior to joining TSE, he was a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Becker Friedman Institute of the University of Chicago for a year. He was awarded a PhD in Economics by Northwestern University in 2018. His received the Zellner Thesis Award, Honorable Mention in 2019 for his doctoral dissertation.

His research fields are Econometrics (primary), and Applied Microeconomics (secondary). His research was recognised early on as very promising – he was awarded the Northwestern Dissertation Fellowship in 2017 and the Robert Eisner Memorial Fellowship in 2016.
