Taking as case studies four minority groups in Israel :Palestinian/Arab citizens, ultra-Orthodox Jews and Ethiopian and Russian immigrants, Guy Ben-Porat and Flora Yuval explore their daily interactions with the police. Touching on issues such as racial profiling, police brutality and neighbourhood neglect, the book questions the notions of citizenship and belonging, and sheds light on minority relationships with the state and its institutions.
