Apprenticeship at the School of Management and Impact

Offering a fast path to a professional integration, apprenticeship allows our students to combine theory and practice, acquiring fast professional autonomy and responsibilities.

The School of Management and Impact offers 4 Masters in apprenticeship Masters>:

What is an apprenticeship contract?

An apprenticeship is a form of training in which students spend one year alternating between work in a public or private organisation and attending academic courses delivered at Sciences Po.

When recruiting an apprentice, the organisation appoints an apprenticeship supervisor responsible for supporting and training students, as they develop their professional skills.

HOW IS APPRENTICESHIP ORGANIZED?

At the Sciences Po School of Management and Impact, apprenticeship is offered during the second year of the Master's program. The first year is a full-time academic program at Sciences Po.

During the second year, students alternate between courses at Sciences Po and work at the host organization, following a rhythm adapted to the needs of the different business sectors.

Why choose an apprenticeship?

Choosing an apprenticeship has many advantages.

  • A real professional experience: an apprenticeship contract allows apprentices to be entrusted with a certain number of missions and responsibilities in order to quickly acquire operational skills.
  • Easier access to employment: an apprenticeship is a real first professional experience. It can be a stepping stone towards recruitment, and often makes it easier to enter the job market.
  • Paid studies: the host organization covers the tuition fees and a monthly salary, giving the student financial autonomy.

Support in your search for a contract

The student is the real actor in the search for an apprenticeship, but has access to the resources offered by the School of Management and Impact: more than 80 career workshops offered each year (company visits, meetings with professionals, case studies, simulations, etc.). In addition, Sciences Po Careers offers a range of services (CV and cover letter workshops, mock interviews, organization of round tables).

Apprenticeship opportunities are regularly offered to students and a forum dedicated to apprenticeships is scheduled every year.

High employability of Sciences Po graduates

The results of the 2022 young graduates survey (class of 2020) show that 52% of students who completed an apprenticeship program found a job even before they graduated.

So why not give it a go?
