CIVICA: a digital campus serving the European alliance
Sciences Po coordinates the CIVICA project, which is responsible for governance, mobility, the digital campus, and libraries.
In 2020, the Information Systems Department and the International Affairs Department launched my.civica.eu, in collaboration with partner universities. This portal brings together a catalog of shared courses, access to academic resources (videos, podcasts, MOOCs) and a directory of researchers from the alliance. It facilitates networking between academic communities and supports student and teacher mobility.
This collective effort brings together 10 major European institutions (Università Bocconi, Central European University, European University Institute, Hertie School, IE University, National University of Political Studies and Public Administration, Sciences Po, Stockholm School of Economics, The London School of Economics and Political Science, SHG Warsaw School of Economics).
The Information Systems Department is now continuing its development with three main priorities:
- the creation of a shared library portal,
- multilingual content management,
- and a dedicated back office for tracking registrations and certifications.
CIVICA is thus becoming a true shared digital ecosystem, serving higher education in Europe.
