How to Apply

University Programme

The Summer School is currently accepting applications for the 2021 University Programme. Applications may only be submitted via Sciences Po's online application platform.

Application timeline and deadlines

All applications to the Summer School must be completed via Sciences Po's online application platform.

The University Programme has rolling admissions; the admission jury meets regularly and candidates may expect to receive a response approximately two weeks after submitting a complete application.

Courses are open to admitted students on a first-come, first-served basis and will be closed when they are full.  Candidates are therefore encouraged to apply in advance to ensure availability in their first-choice class, if they are admitted. Please note that several courses offered in Summer 2020 were closed after reaching maximum enrolment and not all admitted candidates were able to choose their first-choice class.

The final deadlines to submit an application for the 2021 University Programme are:

  • June session: May 3rd, 2021
  • July session: May 31st, 2021

All applications must be completed via the Sciences Po online application platform. Once you have created your account, it is essential to carefully read the instructions at the beginning of the application. You can return to these instructions at any time during your application by clicking on the drop-down link “Help” under your name in the upper-right-hand corner of the screen.

Choice of programmes in the online application

The Sciences Po application platform asks candidates to select a first and second choice programme to which they wish to apply. Candidates to the Summer School are not required to indicate a second choice programme; instead candidates should use this option to indicate whether they will attend one session or both sessions according to the instructions below:

  • If you wish to attend only one session (either June OR July), please select only ONE programme of your choice.  Please do not submit a second choice if you only plan to attend one session.
  • If you wish to attend both sessions (both June AND July), please apply to TWO programmes, one in June and one in July.  You may not apply to two programmes that take place during the same session.  You may indicate either programme as your first or second choice.

Candidates will need to provide the following information and documents as part of their application:

  • Personal information (name, address, etc.)
  • Identity card or passport
