Master in European Affairs: Core Courses

The Master in European Affairs offers core courses that enable students to acquire in-depth, comparative and transversal knowledge in the field of public affairs, which combines economic, legal, ethical, historical, political, managerial and digital approaches.

During their Master's degree, students must take five core courses in the following modules, regardless of their policy stream. The syllabus of each course can be found on our online programs. Courses are offered in both English and French.

SEMESTER 1

European Law

One of the following courses:

  • Droit constitutionnel de l'Union Européenne (beginner level)
  • The Constitutional Foundations of the European Union (beginner level)
  • Regulating the EU Internal Market (advanced level)

European Governance & Democracy

One of the following courses:

  • European Integration: Origins, Institutions, Challenges
  • Démocratie(s) en Europe
  • European Green Deal : Understanding Europe’s climate and energy transition
  • Geopolitics of the EU

Policy Analysis and Policy Evaluation

One of the following courses:

  • Évaluation des politiques publiques (en français) / Policy Analysis and Policy Evaluation (in English): Beginner, intermediate or advanced level.
  • Gestion des entités publiques et privées (en français) / Accounting for Public Policy (in English)

SEMESTER 2

  • Economics of European Integration
  • Politiques Économiques européennes : entre économie et droit
  • European Seminar
