PRESAGE, Programme de recherche et d’enseignement des savoirs sur le genre (in English, Research and Educational Programme on Gender Studies) is Sciences Po’s gender studies programme. It was created in 2010 by two economists, Hélène Périvier (FR) and Françoise Milewski (FR). It has three main objectives: advance research on gender, develop gender studies at Sciences Po and disseminate knowledge.
A world-class university in the social sciences
Sciences Po is a selective research university of international standing based on the values of openness and excellence. Sciences Po’s unique academic model combines expertise in the humanities and social sciences, multidisciplinarity and a professional grounding to educate professionals and citizens able to understand and transform society. Diversity is a key element of Sciences Po’s identity. The student body comprises 49% foreign students from 150 different countries and 26% scholarship students.
Interdisciplinarity placed at the heart of the program
PRESAGE programme promotes a multidisciplinary approach of gender questions in research projects as well as in Sciences Po’s course offer.
Researchers and teachers of Sciences Po’s five overarching disciplines work together constructing research and educational projects hand in hand : findings in law, economics, history, political science, and sociology shed new light on gender questions.
