Seminars

The Gender Studies Programme's research seminars showcase recent academic work in the fields of humanities and social science, fostering discussions on key global issues. These seminars are intended for an academic audience.

Gender and Research Seminar

Open since 2013, this seminar, led by Réjane Sénac as part of the Sciences Po School of Research, is transdisciplinary and falls within the activities of the Gender Studies Programme. It aims to create a collective space for reflection and research around the work of doctoral students, as well as master's students explicitly engaging in gender studies.

Students, academics, and researchers can engage in dialogue, offering diverse perspectives on a theme (discrimination, Europeanisation, gender gap, globalisation, intersectionality, activism, mobilisations, etc.) or an approach (cognitive or normative, whether through the lens of political theory, public policies, law, international relations, economics, etc.).

The global objective is to bridge five overarching disciplines (law, economics, history, political science, sociology) by guiding students and Ph.D. candidates in learning research methods. The aim is to establish a research collective supporting students in writing their thesis, or even master's thesis, and to encourage presentations at conferences and publications.

The working language is primarily French. Registrations open at the beginning of each academic year.
