Pierre-Philippe Combes, Jeanne Hagenbach, and Xavier Ragot distinguished by the CNRS

The CNRS award Pierre-Philippe Combes, Jeanne Hagenbach, and Xavier Ragot career promotions on the basis of their scientific contributions, national and international recognition, and their commitment to research leadership and outreach.
Pierre-Philippe Combes, a CNRS Director of Research, exceptional class, was promoted to an upper echelon, advancing from the 1st to 2nd 'échelon' of his grade. Pierre-Philippe is the Director of Graduate Studies (our Master and PhD in Economics programmes). He is specialised in urban economics and economic geography, with a special interest in the working of local labour and housing markets and the location choices of firms and households, resulting in possible economic spatial disparities.
Jeanne Hagenbach was promoted to CNRS Director of Research, first class. A member of the Department since 2018, she works in the fields of microeconomic theory, experimental and behavioural economics. She was awarded the 2016 CNRS Bronze Medal and in 2020, the ERC Starting Grant (agreement ID: 850996) for her project Motivated Reading of Evidence (MOREV).
Xavier Ragot was promoted to CNRS Director of Research, exceptional class. Xavier is President of Sciences Po's Observatoire français des conjonctures économiques (OFCE) and member of the Department since 2016. His research focuses on monetary and financial macroeconomics, European issues, and heterogeneous agents.
Congratulations to Pierre-Philippe, Jeanne and Xavier !
