PEPES Seminar *in-person* - Sept 23rd

Ruben DURANTE is ICREA Research Professor in Economics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, and an Associated Researcher of the Institute of Political Economy and Governance (IPEG) and of the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics (BGSE). He is also a Research Affiliate of the Centre for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) and Research Fellow at CESIfo. He is the Associate Editor of the European Economic Review.

His research focuses on political economics with a focus on the functioning and impact of traditional and new media in democratic societies. He was recently awarded a prestigious Starting Grant from the European Research Council (ERC) for a five-year project on the Independence and Quality of Mass Media in the Internet Age.

Ruben DURANTE will present a paper, joint with Milena DJOURELOVA and Gregory MARTIN, at the first PEPES Seminar of the year on the theme:
