Portrait of Stephanie Wang

Stephanie Wang is Professor of Economics at the University of Pittsburgh which she joined in 2011. Last year she was a Fellow at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University.  Among her editorial duties, she is Associate Editor of the European Economic Review and the Journal of Political Economy Microeconomics. She is an Advisory Editor of Games and Economic Behavior.

She is an experimental economist working on topics in behavioural game theory, political economy, and choice under uncertainty among others. Recent work explores the distribution of attitudes towards losses in the general population, projective thinking in strategic situations, and persuasive arguments in the field. Her research has appeared in various academic journals including American Economic Review, Econometrica, PNAS, and Review of Economic Studies
