Piotr Dworczak is Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Northwestern University since 2022 and a Researcher at the Group for Research in APplied Economics (GRAPE). He is also a Member of the Finance Theory Group. In 2023 he became Fellow of the Society for the Advancement of Economic Theory. Among his editorial activities he is Co-Editor of Economic Theory and Associate Editor of Econometrica.
His primary research is in mechanism and information design, combining research in pure theory with more applied interests in inequality-aware market design and financial over-the-counter markets. In 2022, Piotr Dworczak was awarded a European Research Council (ERC) “Starting” grant for his project Inequality-aware Market Design (IMD). And in 2024 he was the recipient of the Professor Andrzej Malawski Award for young scientists (for achievements in mathematical economics).
He will present a paper, joint with Ellen V. Muir, at the next Roy-ADRES Seminar on the topic:
