Portrait of Fedor Sandomirskiy

Fedor Sandomirskiy is Assistant Professor of Economics of Princeton University. Before joining Princeton -initially as Associate Research Scholar & Lecturer - he was a Linde Postdoc in Economics and PIMCO Fellow in Data Science at the California Institute of Technology and a Postdoc at the Technion Game Theory group as well as member of their Mechanism Design for Data Science group. He holds a PhD in in Mathematical Methods of Economics from Central Economics and Mathematics Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences

He is a microeconomic theorist specialising in information economics and economic design. His research brings new methodological tools to understand interactions among strategic agents and improve the outcomes of these interactions by proposing new mechanisms. It blends microeconomic insights with ideas from algorithmic game theory and relies on the interplay of probability, convexity, and functional analysis.
