Portrait of Alex Smolin

Alex Smolin is Professor of Economics at the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE), and holds a Chair at the Artificial and Natural Intelligence Toulouse Institute. He is also a Research Affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). Among his editorial duties, he serves on the Editorial Board of The Review of Economic Studies. 

His research studies how information and incentives should be designed in strategic environments, with current work on algorithmic advice, AI alignment, and the pricing of large language models.
