Portrait of Alessandro Ferrari

Alessandro Ferrari is Assistant Professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and an Affiliated Professor of the Barcelona School of Economics (BSE) since 2025. He is also a Research Affiliate of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). Previously, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Zurich

His research interests are in Macroeconomics and International Trade. A very promising academic, his work has been published in the Journal of International Economics, the Journal of Public Economics, and the American Economic Association Papers and Proceedings. His research (and doctoral studies) has received generous support, notably the Swiss National Science Foundation awarded his project Firm Behaviour and Supply Chains Fragility an important grant in 2023.
