Portrait of Alessandra Fenizia

Alessandra Fenizia is Assistant Professor of Economics at George Washington University (GWU). She is also a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and affiliated with the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP) at LSE, the ROCKWOOL Foundation Berlin, and the Institute for International Economic Policy.

She is an applied microeconomist working primarily at the intersection of labour and public economics. She is interested in understanding how to evaluate and improve the performance of public sector agencies and in studying how government policies affect workers and firms. Her work has been published in leading journals, including Econometrica, American Economic Review, and American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, and spans labour economics, organisational economics, and political economy.
